Transforming IDPs into Peace ambassadors and entrepreneurs

Our Economic empowerment workshop on yoghurt and soap production in Douala with Internally Displaced Youths was very impactful. 46 youths benefited from this training and by the end of the training, 13 youths volunteered to form a liquid soap production business group, they contributed little amounts of money and are ready to kickstart this Saturday.
If you’re interested in buying liquid soap, please contact Children’s Fate to link you up with these youths who are trying to raise funds for theirs and families needs. Let’s patronize them as they grow into change makers in their communities.
This training was also part of the Community Engagement Exchange Program project by our president Tomia Zongkazih.
Children’s Fate shall organize more of such activities with the collaboration and support of other partners. This is just the beginning as we look forward to training more youths and helping vulnerable children.

Workshop on Internally Displaced Youths on Peace Building and Nonviolence

Here comes another workshop organized by Children’s Fate at the @American Spaces Douala still provided by the U.S. Embassy Yaounde on June 2, 2023. This workshop was meant to train Internally Displaced Youths on Peace building and nonviolence strategies. Here, we trained 35 youths facilitated by our Community Engagement Exchange Program specialist mentor @Thomas Sithole from Zimbabwe.

The Trainees went home impacted with knowledge on Peacebuilding. We strongly believe that, the more youths become involved in Peacebuilding activities, the more violent extremism and injustice in our communities gradually become History.
This workshop trained identified displaced youths who also benefited from economic empowerment. We hope to carry out bigger projects on Peacebuilding in the future, that would involve every youth with the collaboration and support of other structures.

Youth Leadership Development Workshop

We, on Wednesday May 31st carried out a workshop on Youth Leadership Development with the support of the Community Engagement Exchange Program implemented by IREX at the U.S. Embassy Yaounde. With Thomas Sithole being our main speaker.

we want to thank all the above-mentioned institutions, Thomas and all the participants for making this event a success.

St Therese Orphanage at Obili -Yaounde

On Friday August 5th 2022, Children’s Fate Team visited the St Therese Orphanage at Obili -Yaounde. This visit was part of the Launching of the Organization after it was officially registered and legalised. On this day, the team used the opportunity to celebrate the birthday of our very Precious Princess Bona’am Chani Da’akazih who turned 2 years old. The team chose to celebrate with these children in accordance with our believe that every child matters and and they are all unique and important.

Led by our Cofounders Tomia Zongkazih Eka Chu and NGOE ESONO, the team had a very insightful conversation with the children and their caretakers. We made the kids know that they have not been abandoned by society and that they are of equal value as any other child. The team encouraged the kids and drilled them on positive attitudes and good morals. In our conversations with the kids, we were pleased to discover that these kids were very positive and have amazing dreams. After some bold kids expressed some doubts in themselves, Tomia Chu insisted that with a positive mindset and self believe, they will see their dreams come true. Our conversation with the Caretakers of the center focused on the realities and some major challenges faced by the kids (we hope to intervene in the future)

At the end, we all talked, played, laughed while learning. It was a moment of exchange and building trust with the kids who opened up to the team on some of their fears and challenges.

At the end, we shared our common meal and drank the soy yogurt and sweet juice made by our Cofounder and President Tomia. And of course, everyone was happy.

We thank everyone who contributed and participated to this event. We thank the caretakers of the St Therese Orphanage at Obili for the work they are doing to fill that missing piece in the life of the kids. Of course, we are a family and Children’s Fate will always be there for the kids. We thank also the CF Team for the sacrifices made. We thank God
