Tomia
Zongkazih Eka Chu

Founding President & Humanitarian Peacekeeping Intervention General

Tomia Zongkazih Eka Chu is a seasoned humanitarian leader, social entrepreneur, and peacebuilder with over 8 years of experience working with vulnerable and conflict-affected communities in Cameroon. She is the visionary Founding President of Children’s Fate, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, empowering, and restoring dignity to underserved children and youth through education, health, crisis response, and economic empowerment initiatives.

A native of Esu in Cameroon’s Northwest Region, Tomia recently made history by being officially sworn in as a United Nations Humanitarian Peacekeeping Intervention General, a title she earned after completing an intensive peacekeeping and emergency response training tailored by GAICAM under the flagship of ECOSOC. This distinction underscores her dedication to global humanitarian service, crisis intervention, and youth-led peacebuilding.

Tomia is an alumna of the U.S. Department of State’s Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Fellowship Program, where she completed her practicum at The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta, Georgia. There, she translated the six principles and steps of nonviolence to 3 languages and contributed to national civic engagement and fundraising efforts. She has served as a Junior Fellow at The King Center, where she conducts research on the intersection of social justice, faith, and community leadership.

Through Children’s Fate, Tomia has led the design and implementation of over 15 community-based projects, including youth leadership training, child education through scholarships, sexual assault survivor support workshops, educational outreach to orphanages and refugee communities, and emergency hospital interventions reaching over 5000 individuals. She has independently empowered over 150 young people and single mothers with income-generating skills and supported the launch of over 40 small businesses.

Tomia also brings academic depth as a Doctor of Education student and Master’s degree holder in International Relations to her work, having authored several publications on refugee management, women and land conflict, and policy in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has worked with organizations such as UNHCR, the International Medical Corps, and the Nkafu Policy Institute, demonstrating expertise in research, field coordination, and grassroots mobilization.

Fluent in English, French, Pidgin English, Esu and basic Fulfulder, Tomia is driven by a bold vision: to reshape the fate of children and youth living in hardship through compassion, strategic action, and justice-centered leadership. Her life’s work continues to inspire young leaders across Cameroon and beyond.

Foto Walter Makia

Secretary General

Foto Walter Makia has served as the Secretary General of Children’s Fate since its founding, bringing with him a strong background in international relations, project coordination, and community engagement. With a Master’s degree in International Relations from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC), his expertise lies in regional integration and the management of community institutions.

Walter has held key roles with organizations such as Plan International, the Cameroon Red Cross, and Ubique Immigration Quest, where he contributed to child protection initiatives, youth engagement, and institutional management. His experience includes data collection and protection for displaced children, event coordination, team leadership, and human resource management.

As a detail-oriented professional with a passion for positive change, Walter combines organizational strength with empathy, teamwork, and integrity—values that continue to drive his commitment to Children’s Fate and its mission to protect and empower vulnerable children and youth in Cameroon.

Kenah Roudoph Chu

Treasurer & Lead Trainer

Kenah Roudoph Chu is a passionate humanitarian, youth leader, and educator who currently serves as Treasurer and Lead Trainer at Children’s Fate. With a strong background in environmental geology and community development, Roudoph plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission of empowering underserved and conflict-affected children and youth in Cameroon.

Appointed Treasurer in 2025 after years of active service, Roudoph has demonstrated unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and the financial health of the organization. In his capacity as Lead Trainer, he facilitates peacebuilding, leadership, and nonviolence training sessions for youth, contributing to the transformation of hundreds of lives across vulnerable communities.

He holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Geology from the University of Yaoundé I and has received certifications in Nonviolence365® from The King Center, Youth Leadership from the U.S. Embassy Yaoundé, and Peace and Conflict Resolution from American Corners Douala.

Outside of Children’s Fate, Roudoph serves as Vice Principal of Saint John Academy of Excellence and teaches biology, geology, and computer science at several colleges in Yaoundé. He also holds leadership positions in faith-based and community youth organizations, including the Assemblies of God Cameroon and the Esu Student Association.

Roudoph is driven by a deep belief in compassion, servant leadership, and sustainable impact—values that align perfectly with the heart of Children’s Fate.

Djeukem Hedra Lauraine

Project Manager

Djeukem Hedra Lauraine is the Project Manager at Children’s Fate, serving on the Board since the 2023. She is a passionate and experienced development professional, committed to designing and implementing community-based projects that improve the lives of vulnerable populations.

With a Master’s degree from the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) and additional certifications in project management and conflict analysis, Lauraine brings a strong academic foundation and practical expertise to her role. Over the years, she has led impactful initiatives with several nonprofit organizations including Divine Love Association, Fight For Us, and Biya Health Care, where she coordinated fieldwork, managed project lifecycles, and conducted community sensitization and economic empowerment programs.

Known for her commitment to social justice and human dignity, Lauraine is a peacebuilder and a skilled communicator who thrives in diverse environments. Her work consistently focuses on addressing pressing issues such as child protection, gender equality, health, and poverty alleviation. At Children’s Fate, she continues to lead with purpose, ensuring our projects meet the real needs of children and youth across Cameroon.

Bejingsi Hostensia

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Bejingsi Hostensia is a seasoned finance and program management specialist with over eight years of experience leading monitoring, evaluation, and financial oversight in nonprofit and community-led initiatives across Cameroon. Since joining Children’s Fate in 2024, she has brought a wealth of expertise in financial accountability, donor compliance, and data-driven program evaluation, having worked with major international donors including USAID, UNICEF, the Global Fund, and PEPFAR.

Hostensia holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Bamenda and has managed grants totaling over $750,000. Her career spans roles as Chief Finance Officer and Project Accountant with organizations such as HEDECS, and CARE Cameroon, where she led monitoring frameworks, internal audits, training workshops, and impact reporting. Her keen attention to detail, strong leadership in community-based monitoring systems, and commitment to transparency continue to advance Children’s Fate’s mission of empowering vulnerable children through sustainable, accountable programs.

Asongwe Clive Acho

Logistics Coordinator

Asongwe Clive Acho is the Logistics Coordinator of Children’s Fate, serving on the Board since 2022. With over five years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, Clive has played a vital role in structuring and streamlining the organization’s operations, ensuring that programs are executed with efficiency and timeliness.

Currently completing a Master’s in Supply Chain Management at CITEC-HITM in Yaoundé, Clive combines academic excellence with practical expertise. At Children’s Fate, he has implemented innovative systems for staff scheduling, inventory management, and supplier engagement, all contributing to greater organizational impact. He also led the creation of the organization’s website and social media platforms, strengthening public engagement and communication.

Beyond Children’s Fate, Clive has worked with organizations such as Happy Food Trading and served as a logistics lecturer and Career Services Officer at CITEC-HITM. His leadership experience as President of the Students Union Government (S.U.G) at CITEC reflects his commitment to youth development, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Clive is passionate about logistics as a tool for transformation and social good, and continues to bring precision, integrity, and energy to all he does at Children’s Fate.
